Quader, the road transport and bridges minister, said at a programme on Sunday he was not feeling well as his mother was sick.

The Awami League leader hails from Rajapur village in Noakhali’s Companyganj. His father Mosharraf Hossain was a teacher.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed ‘deep’ sorrow in a condolence message over the death of his ruling party counterpart’s mother.

Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP chairperson’s press wing, said Mirza Fakhrul prayed for peace of the departed soul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family.
